Bangalore . Janata Dhan (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy said after the defeat in the Karnataka elections that he accepts defeat and victory equally. HD Kumaraswamy said that the defeat in the Karnataka assembly elections is not the end for him and his party. The JD(S) leader and former chief minister, who won 19 seats in the assembly polls, extended best wishes to the new government coming into existence. At the same time, he hoped that the Congress party would pay attention to the needs of the people. The Congress registered a resounding victory in the assembly elections on Saturday. According to the figures released by the Election Commission till 8 pm, the party had won 137 seats, while it was leading in three seats. The Congress on its own easily crossed the majority mark of 113 seats in the 224-member state assembly.
