Two separate handles are provided to brake each drum independently, this helps to operate winch for pulling and pushing the scraper without changing the direction of rotation of electric motor. When a brake is applied to scraper pulling drum, the wire rope is wound on one drum and other is in unwinding position . when brake is applied to the other drum the Scraper with ore pulls out from the mining area.
